Ben is responsible for leading complex development projects, managing zoning and entitlement matters, project budgeting, procurement, design management, predevelopment and interagency coordination, risk management, neighbor and community relations, branding, and marketing through sale or lease-up. While at Taconic, Ben has focused on Essex Crossing, one of the largest developments in New York City’s history, and is currently planning a 27-story mixed-use development in Lower Manhattan.
Prior to joining Taconic in 2014, Ben served as Project Manager for Shawmut Design & Construction, where he was responsible for building luxury retail flagship stores across the US. Before joining Shawmut, Ben provided consulting services to property owners seeking development approvals from the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. Ben received a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in urban design and architecture studies from New York University and earned a Master of Science degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation.
