Ben is primarily responsible for development projects, managing all aspects of the development timeline including zoning and entitlements, predevelopment, project budgeting, design management, procurement, risk management and insurance, and marketing and sales including lease-ups. While at Taconic, Ben’s primary transactions have included 242 Broome Street, 202 Broome Street, and The Market Line tunnels at Essex Crossing.
Prior to joining Taconic in 2014, Ben served as Project Manager for Shawmut Design & Construction, where he was responsible for building luxury retail flagship stores in New York and Los Angeles. Before joining Shawmut, Ben provided consulting services to property owners seeking development approvals from the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission, including architectural surveying, urban planning and historical research, and violation rectification. Ben received a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in urban design and architecture studies from New York University, and earned a Master of Science degree in historic preservation from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation.
