Andy oversees all legal matters at Taconic, including those related to investments, sales and acquisitions, leasing, financing, development, construction, transaction structure, joint ventures, land use, risk management and litigation, human resources and regulatory compliance matters. Andy brings more than 30 years of experience handling complex real estate transactions in both business and legal capacities. He serves on the company’s Investment Committee and Compliance Committee and Chairs the Strategic Operating Committee.
Prior to joining Taconic in 2009, Andy was the Senior Vice President of Development and Associate General Counsel at Forest City Ratner Companies, and was General Counsel and Executive Vice President at GFI Capital Resources Group, Inc. Andy spent nine years in private legal practice, first at Baer Marks & Upham and later at Arnold & Porter, specializing in real estate transactions. In addition, he was an adjunct professor of law at Brooklyn Law School. Andy received a Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude in political philosophy from Lafayette College, and earned his Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law.
